The hotel looks and smells new and is a true landmark in Skellefteå. The interior is very Nordic and the theme throughout the entire hotel is nature and the forest. There are three fast elevators to service the guests. It looks like all rooms have a view, and I assume I got a standard room which had floor to ceiling windows covering the entire outer wall, and had a bench stretching from wall to wall in front of the window so that you were able to sit there and look at the view. I was lucky enough to get a room on the 16th floor. The room is pretty much standard size in Sweden. The bed was very comfortable although I found the pillows to be a little on the flat side. I can't understand why hotels, when they make the bed with two pillows per person, don't offer one flat pillow and one thicker pillow. The bathroom and the shower were spacious and they provide body wash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion as well as a hairdryer in the cabinet where you will also find an ironing board and an iron. They also have a bench to sit on for putting on your shoes, and the room is equipped with a shoe horn. The breakfast is good and offers what you would expect from a hotel, and the restaurant where the breakfast is served, on the fourth floor, has an amazing outdoor area. I can imagine how popular it is during the warmer months. I would definitely book this hotel again if I ever need to spend the night around these latitudes.

What an incredibly cool concept. This hotel is built entirely of Nordic wood. So cool. Incredibly clean. Beds so comfortable. Best pillows EVER. If it weren’t for these features this hotel would rate lower than one. Literally the most boring room I have ever stayed in. No creature comforts at all. No complimentary bottle of water, no blow dryer — funnily at breakfast the next day all women were sat with wet hair. Staff was mediocre at best, unfriendly at worst. Give it a miss unless you have a conference and boss is paying for room

The hotel is such an awsome hotel.the staff is so professional and the hotel is magnicifent and the breakfast is to die for simply magnificent all in all.

The Wood Hotel by Elite, Skellefteå I booked a room in the Wood Hotel by Elite in Skellefteå via the Booking mobile app on 21.06.2023. I had a Genius discount with a room upgrade, breakfast, and dinner. It was a getaway offer for Genius 3 Level guests. The idea was to have a romantic stay during my summer vacation and have a pleasant time. After payment was done dinner went missing from my reservation. I contacted the property regarding the issue and the hotel asked me to resolve this problem myself since the property that sold me this package insisted on not having such packages. I had to send 60 messages, and make 9 calls over two hours on the phone. 30€bill during the last 24 hours being between the property and Booking service agents trying to solve the problem. 24 hours of stress, calls, messages, sending proofs, screenshots, waiting, etc. Even before my trip even began I feel dizzy because of stress, and spent a sleepless night before departing to my destination. I spent over 30€ on calls to get what I paid for. I totally regret dealing with this property altogether. The main idea was to have a luxurious pleasant and unique summer vacation trip for couples. Well… I got totally the opposite. For people who book this hotel: definitely do not book it through *********** and do not expect relaxation. The idea was to have a romantic stay during my summer vacation and have a pleasant time. The result is total stress, sleepless night, headache, and other health issues. I regret making a booking there.

The hotel amenities are decent but customer service is terrible, lacking discipline at the reception. Untrained staff that lack professionalism, poor breakfast and delayed room cleaning and sometimes none! Food quality is average and definitely a 3 star level so cost mist be reviewed. The Spa facility is very small and not worth the hefty 450 SEK / 50 USD entry fee with a small sauna and a steam room and barely just bath tub type pool!! Think is over rated and just using its location being in a remote area, try Scandic or Comfort, much cheaper and ao much better service
